Integration in Odoo

This article covers how to connect the EasyBusy Chats app (module) to the Odoo platform.

Getting Started

Before setting up the integration, you’ll need to install two apps in your Odoo instance with the Odoo Apps service:

• EasyBusy Chats;
• EasyBusy Chats CRM.

Once both apps are installed, go to the Apps module, where you need to:

1. Find EasyBusy Chats;
2. Click Activate.

Open your company Settings, navigate to the Users section, and assign the EasyBusy user group to the relevant employees.

Generating an API Key

Log in to EasyBusy Chats and head to the Control Panel.

Here:

1. In the Integrations section, go to Keys;
2. Click + Add;

3. Enter a name for the key;
4. Click Create;

5. Copy the generated key.

Connecting EasyBusy Chats to Odoo

In Odoo, go to the Discuss module and open the Chats section.

You’ll see a message: “Easy Busy Chats is not configured.” Click Open Settings.

In the pop-up window:

1. Paste the API key you generated in EasyBusy Chats;
2. Select the company whose chats you want to connect to Odoo;
3. Click Save.

What You Can Do with EasyBusy Chats

The Chats section gives you a unified inbox where all customer messages are visible in one place. From within any chat, you can create a new CRM contact, link the chat to an existing contact, or create a new sales opportunity.

Create a New Contact

1. Go to Discuss → Chats;
2. Open the chat you want to work with;
3. Click Create Contact;

4. Fill in the information as needed;
5. Click Save.

A View Contact button will appear, letting you quickly access the linked contact at any time.

Link to an Existing Contact

1. Go to Discuss → Chats;
2. Open the chat you want to work with;
3. Click Link Existing Contact;

4. Select the contact you want to link;
5. Click Save.

Create an Opportunity

1. Go to Discuss → Chats;
2. Open the chat you want to work with;
3. Click Create Opportunity;

4. Fill in the information as needed (alesperson, sales team, contact details, etc);
5. Click Create Opportunity to confirm.

You’ll be taken to the opportunity card, where you can set the Expected Revenue, send messages, and manage the deal from there.
