WhatsApp Integration

The WhatsApp integration allows you to connect your work or personal number to the Chats platform.

Note

This page covers the integration of a personal WhatsApp account. For information on integrating a WhatsApp Business Account, take a look at the WhatsApp Business Account Integration page.

  4. If needed, turn on read state sync from provider;
  5. Turn on automatic access to this channel (if needed) for all new users (employees);
  6. Select an AI assistant (if needed). To create a new one or manage existing ones, click AI assistant management (the autoreply must be enabled for the assistant to work in a chat). Learn more about AI tools in Chats here;
  7. If needed, enable auto-assignment by selecting Round Robin — in this mode, the system evenly distributes incoming requests among users;
  8. Click + Add User to specify who will have access to this integration.

After clicking + Add User, a new row will appear where you can:

  1. Select the user you want to add;
  2. Set the access level (All Chats or Only Assigned Chats). The Only Assigned Chats access level narrows the user’s visibility to only those chats assigned to them.

To revoke a user’s access, click the trash icon next to that user.

  1. Once you have finished configuring the connection, click Add.

You will see a status of Adding — wait a moment (this usually takes a few seconds) and refresh the page. The status should change to Authorization Required.

Creating a Session

Click Log in and scan the QR code or open the link on a device where you are already logged in to your WhatsApp account.

To connect another account, repeat the steps described above. For other channels (messengers and social networks) and their instructions, see the link.

To return to your chats, click “Back” in the bottom-left corner of the panel.

Usage

From this point on, all client messages sent to your account will be stored in the system. You can view and send messages via the interface under the WhatsApp tab (Chats module → WhatsApp tab). If you have added multiple accounts, you can switch between them using the dropdown menu.

Note

When connecting WhatsApp, chats are not synced automatically. To open a conversation, go to Contacts (see the Chats Module page for instructions) and click on the relevant chat. The conversation history will then appear and the chat will become available in the list on the left.

You can edit or delete the integration from the Control Panel. Go to Accounts / Social and follow the steps below:

  1. Locate WhatsApp and click the gear icon (settings).
